Ministry of Economy emphasizes development of development assistance in various sectors in Afghanistan
The Ministry of Economy says that the acting head of the ministry, in a meeting with the Japanese ambassador to Afghanistan, stressed the need to focus more on developing development assistance while observing balanced development in various sectors in the country, saying that these measures can improve living conditions and support household economies.

During the meeting, the Japanese Ambassador shared information on Japan's humanitarian assistance of approximately $27.4 million in 2024, which has been implemented through UN agencies in various sectors.
 
He also assured that his country's development and humanitarian assistance will continue in 2025 in the fields of health, education, counter-drugs, livelihood alternatives, water management, fighting climate change and addressing the problems of IDPs and returnees.
 
The Acting Minister of Economy, while appreciating Japan's humanitarian assistance to returnees and victims of natural disasters, stressed the need to focus more on developing development assistance while observing balanced development in various sectors.
 
He said these measures could create jobs and improve living conditions and support the household economy.
 
It is worth mentioning that Japan had offered its humanitarian aid to the people of Afghanistan through the United Nations in 2024.
