Silk Road Corridor and Afghan-Trans Project, the focus of the meeting of the Acting Minister of Public Works with the Chinese Ambassador in Kabul
The Ministry of Public Works said that the acting head of the ministry met with the Chinese ambassador to Afghanistan regarding the practical work of the Wakhan Corridor (Silk Road) and the Afghan-Trans project.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Ministry of Public Works said in a statement on Saturday that Mullah Mohammad Isa Sani, the acting head of the ministry, met with Chinese Ambassador to China Zhao Sheng in his office and the two sides discussed a number of important issues.
 
In the meeting, Mullah Mohammad Isa II, Acting Minister of Public Works, while welcoming Mr. Zhao Sheng, said that Afghanistan and China have long-standing historical social, economic and political relations with each other and thanked the country for its continued cooperation.
 
During the meeting, the two sides also discussed the Wakhan Corridor (Silk Road), which connects Afghanistan and China.
 
The acting minister of public works said the survey of the Wakhan Corridor had been completed by the ministry and work was underway on its design.
 
The meeting also discussed the Afghan-Trans project, which connects Central Asian countries with South Asian countries through Afghanistan.
 
He added that the meetings are ongoing and Afghanistan is fully prepared to start the practical work of the project.
 
At the end of the meeting, the sides emphasized the continuation of trade and economic relations, transfer of commercial goods, infrastructure projects between China and Afghanistan and bilateral cooperation.
 
It is worth mentioning that the Afghan-Trans and Silk Road projects are vital and important projects.
