Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: "Najib Mikati", the Lebanese Prime Minister for the Advancement of Affairs, in a meeting with "Morgan Ortagus", the US Deputy Envoy for the Middle East, called for the completion of the complete withdrawal of the Zionist regime from the occupied territories in southern Lebanon by 18 months of this year and for a halt to the systematic destruction of regions and villages, as well as the start of the implementation of Resolution 1701 and the resolution of border disputes in the Blue Line.
Mikati stated that the commitment to implementing international decisions will lead to stability in the region, and specifically in southern Lebanon.
Earlier, "Mohammed Ra'ad", the head of the "Loyalty to the Resistance" faction affiliated with the Lebanese Hezbollah, described "Morgan Ortagus's" words as full of hatred, malice and irresponsibility.
Raad said: "Ortagus's statements are an attack on a national movement in Lebanon that is part of the national agreement. With these words, she has clearly interfered in the sovereignty of Lebanon and violated all diplomatic etiquette."
After meeting with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, Ortagus claimed in a press conference: "Hezbollah has lost the war with Israel."
She also said in interventionist remarks: "Hezbollah cannot be allowed to be present in the future Lebanese government."
In this regard, the Lebanese presidential office emphasized in a statement that Ortagus's words only express her views and have nothing to do with the president.
