Maulvi Abdul Karim Fateh, technical deputy minister of public works, said the system was the result of the sacrifices made by the Afghan people in order to realize it, adding that the elders of the system would work for the country's progress without ethnic, linguistic or sectarian prejudice.
 
He added that the ministry has undertaken small and large road construction and road rehabilitation projects to improve and facilitate the transportation of people's commercial goods, some of which have been completed and others are underway.
 
 
Maulvi Abdul Karim Fateh pointed to the reconstruction project of the Kabul-Kandahar highway and said that 1,756 bridges, 48 ​​bridges and asphalt of the second layer of the 430-kilometer highway have been completed.
 
He added that the construction of the 108-kilometer Kandahar-Uruzgan highway, of which 44 percent has progressed, is also underway.
 
The technical deputy of the ministry announced that on the orders of the leader of the Islamic Emirate, the construction of 14 mosques along the Kabul-Herat highway worth 467 million 726 thousand 211 Afghanis has been signed with local companies, which is practically underway.
 
Mohammad Ashraf Haqshenas, spokesman for the Ministry of Public Works, spoke about the plans and projects for next year and said that the construction of the second lane Kabul-Ghazni road worth more than 3 billion Afghanis, the second lane Kabul-Jalal-Abad road 147 kilometers long, Chesht Herat 30 kilometers long and 1.5 billion Afghanis worth of private mining are underway. reported.
 
He added that several bridges including Ziri Baba Kunar Bridge worth 47 million Afghanis, Pashd Kunar Bridge worth 16 million Afghanis, Mullah Ali Bridge worth 29 million Afghanis and Spin Khor Bridge worth about 7 million Afghanis will be completed and put into operation in the near future.
 
The ministry spokesman said 42 projects were underway in the road maintenance sector, adding that 37 of them remained from last year and five others started this year.
 
Haqshenas said the ministry had cleared more than 7,572 kilometers of roads in different provinces this winter.
 
 
He informed about the progress of several railway lines in the country, including the extension of the contract for the repair and construction of the Afghanistan-Uzbekistan railway, adding that due to the completion of the contract and the remaining repairs, the construction contract has been extended, and now 80 percent of the work has progressed.
 
The ministry has completed and put into operation 1,207 kilometers of roads and 1,860 meters of bridges across the country this year, officials said.
 
At the end of the program, the contract for the construction of the fifth section of the 61-kilometer Qaisar-Laman road was signed between the Ministry of Public Works and the private road construction company Noorzai Confidence.
 
 
It is worth mentioning that in the first phase, the construction of 25 kilometers of this road worth 1.4 billion Afghanis will begin in exchange for the chromite mine in Parwan province.
