Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Herat: The Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Herat, in a statement issued on the occasion of the country's neutrality and the designation of 2025 as the "International Year of Peace and Trust", stated that neutrality is of particular importance to the Turkmen nation and that this policy has enhanced Turkmenistan's international status among countries in the world.

In order to achieve this goal, Turkmenistan is trying to take effective steps to improve the economic and social situation in Afghanistan. Among these measures is the presentation of constructive and creative solutions by the President and National Leader of Turkmenistan at the United Nations General Assembly and other international meetings on Afghanistan.
According to the Consulate General of Turkmenistan, in September 2024, practical work on several major international and development projects has begun in Afghanistan, including the TAPI, TAP, fiber optic, railway, development of Turgandi port at ground zero and other infrastructure projects.
