Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Mullah Haibatullah Akhundzada, the Leader of the Islamic Emirate, visited Kandahar University on Wednesday afternoon, February 12, and addressed a large gathering for the university's officials, professors, staff and students. This was his first visit to this scientific center. Maulvi Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesman for the Islamic Emirate, has published important parts of these words.
At the beginning of his speech, Mullah Haibatullah Akhundzada emphasized the importance of knowledge and the value of religious and contemporary education. He advised professors and students to acquire both types of knowledge with sincerity, keep their intentions pure for the pleasure of God alone, and use their knowledge to serve religion and people.
Addressing the professors and students, he said: “Look, you should learn both religious and secular sciences and put your intention in serving religion; because society values you. Society looks at students of schools, colleges, and universities with respect and expects service from you. Enemies have attacked this country many times, but they have been defeated. Praise be to God, Afghanistan is now on the path of progress under an Islamic and free system.”
The Leader of the Islamic Emirate also called on students and professors to record the history of the country’s martyrs, fighters, and national heroes and introduce them to the world. He added: “The Mujahideen liberated this country in difficult conditions and only with the help of God. Now it is your turn to promote Afghanistan on the global stage with science and knowledge and work so hard that foreigners come here to learn from you and rule the world with the help of your knowledge.”
He continued his speech by emphasizing that Afghanistan is the common home of all and everyone has a special place in this system. He noted that the Islamic Emirate wants the good of the people and now the school and university are side by side. The government is responsible for supporting and protecting both academic institutions.
Mullah Haibatullah Akhundzada announced that the Islamic Emirate has provided all facilities for the growth of science and has ordered that if necessary, even at any cost, foreign professors be hired to teach in Afghan universities, but the country’s youth must receive professional and specialized training.
He called on the participants to strive for the progress, unity and solidarity of Afghanistan and serve the nation honestly. He also emphasized that all his orders are based on consultation with the eminent scholars and are in accordance with the Quran and Hadith, and if there is anything in them that is against Islam, it should not be accepted.
The meeting was held at the Jame Mosque of Kandahar University and was attended by a large number of students, professors and university staff.
