Lebanese Forces Chiefs Hold Emergency Meeting Against Zionist Regime Occupation
Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, President Joseph Aoun, and Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri held an emergency meeting to oppose the presence of Zionist troops in Lebanese territory and the regime's occupation.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: The Lebanese Forces Chiefs emphasized that the Zionist troops must completely withdraw from the occupied territories of Lebanon.

Lebanese media reported that the Israeli army has withdrawn from the occupied villages and towns of southern Lebanon, with the exception of five main points along the common borders with occupied Palestine.

The Lebanese presidential statement stated that Lebanon has fully adhered to Resolution 1701 and its contents, but the Israeli side has repeatedly violated this agreement and does not attach any importance to its clauses.

According to Fars, in August 2006, Resolution 1701 was issued. Based on this resolution, hostilities between Hezbollah and the Zionist regime ceased at that time and a demilitarized zone was established between the Blue Line and the Litani River in Lebanon. The Blue Line refers to the lines of Israeli withdrawal from Lebanon in 2000.

According to this agreement, only the Lebanese army and the UN Interim Force known as UNIFIL were to be present in this demilitarized zone.

The heads of the three branches of Lebanon said that the country's army is fully prepared to carry out its mission to protect international borders, preserve national sovereignty, support the people of southern Lebanon, and ensure their security and stability.
