Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Bamyan: The volleyball competition titled "Ramadan Cup", which was recently held by the Atlas Sports Club in cooperation with the Bamyan Provincial Department of Physical Education and Sports, ended with the victory of the Bamyan Hope Team.
The competition was held among 9 selected teams from the province at the Bamyan Central Gymnasium.
Mohammad Ishaq Toli, a member of the Bamyan Hope Team, stated in an interview with the AVA reporter that he has been participating in volleyball competitions in this province for 20 years and that the Bamyan Hope Team won the championship by outperforming other teams.
He added that the growth of volleyball in Bamyan has increased significantly in recent years, and these successes are due to the cooperation of the Department of Physical Education and Sports and the regular holding of competitions.
Sayed Kafeel Mousavi, the person in charge and organizer of the competition, said that the "Ramadan Cup" competition was held on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, and in the end, the Omid Bamyan team won the championship and the Maiwand Davudi team became the runner-up.
He also added that volleyball is one of the most popular sports in Bamyan, and many young people have turned to this sport in recent years.
A zero-kilometer motorcycle was awarded to the champion team, and 5,000 Afghanis were awarded to the second-place team.
The main goal of holding these competitions is to welcome athletes to the month of Ramadan and to promote and grow volleyball in Bamyan province.
