90,000 Palestinian worshippers attend Al-Aqsa Mosque on first Friday of Ramadan
Despite numerous restrictions, the Islamic Endowments in occupied Jerusalem announced that 90,000 Palestinian worshippers attended Al-Aqsa Mosque today on the first Friday of the holy month of Ramadan.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Earlier, Sheikh Ikrimah Sabri, the preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque, called for attendance and retreat in this holy mosque, saying: Attendance at Al-Aqsa Mosque is an act of worship and a religious obligation.
 
This is while residents of the West Bank, despite security measures and restrictions imposed by the Zionists and bad weather conditions, have been trying to reach Al-Aqsa Mosque since this morning through the Qalandiya checkpoint in northern Jerusalem to attend Al-Aqsa Mosque on the first Friday of the holy month of Ramadan.
 
Continuing its provocative actions against Palestinians in occupied Jerusalem, the Zionist regime has restricted their entry to Al-Aqsa Mosque during the holy month of Ramadan.
 
The Israeli Prime Minister's Office announced that only men over 55, women over 50, and children under 12 from the West Bank will be allowed to enter Al-Aqsa Mosque during Ramadan.
 
It was also announced that entry from the West Bank to Jerusalem will be subject to prior security approval.
 
On the eve of the first Friday of Ramadan, the Israeli police have taken strict security measures and deployed 3,000 security forces in Jerusalem.
