Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): "Zaher Jabareen", the head of the Hamas movement in the West Bank, emphasized yesterday (Saturday) that the release of prisoners from Israeli prisons showed that this regime cannot break the will of the Palestinian people despite political and material support.
Speaking at a ceremony commemorating the prisoners who were released last week, Jabareen said: "We in the Hamas movement made honorable exchange agreements and we continue to stand by our promise and will try with all means to free the prisoners."
Addressing the prisoners who are being held in Israeli prisons, he also said that the time for their release is very close and that the Hamas movement will not rest until the last prisoner is released.
After the end of the first phase of the agreement, the Israeli regime decided to stop the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip and close all crossings leading to this region.
This decision was made after security consultations coordinated by the United States and was accompanied by condemnation from several Arab countries.
The "ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement" between Hamas and Israel began on "January 19". The agreement had three phases, the first phase of which ended after 42 days.
Negotiations were supposed to begin two weeks ago to outline the details of the second phase, but Netanyahu prevented it and left for the United States, after which he also walked under the negotiating table.
Osama Hamdan, a leader of the Hamas movement, recently emphasized that Benjamin Netanyahu seeks to resume attacks on the Palestinian people and that his government has deliberately taken steps to defeat the agreement and has worked to achieve this goal.
Hamdan stated that in the first phase of the agreement, Israel prevented the daily entry of 50 trucks of fuel and also failed to fulfill its commitments regarding the entry of humanitarian aid and reconstruction materials, including prefabricated houses.
