Russia Captures Two More Villages in Kursk
The Russian Defense Ministry announced the recapture of a strategic village in the Kursk region and the control of a village in the Sumi region.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The Russian Defense Ministry announced today (Sunday) in a statement that the village of Lebedevka in the Kursk region has been recaptured by the Russian Federation and the village of Novenko in the Sumi region across the border has been taken under control.

According to the Russia Today network, this marks the resumption of Russian military presence in areas that it had previously evacuated to focus efforts in eastern Ukraine.

Russian forces have been largely absent from the Sumi region of Ukraine since their withdrawal in April 2022 and have shifted their focus to eastern Ukraine.

The images obtained show Russian forces flying their country's flag over Lebedevka in Russia's Kursk region.

Yesterday, a number of media outlets reported that there is a possibility that thousands of Ukrainian soldiers may be surrounded in Kursk.
