Iranian Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejd rejected claims by US officials that they are trying to completely halt the sale of Iranian crude oil.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Monitoring: Pak Nejad stated in an interview that this claim is "a sinister wish that will never come true."
Reuters has recently quoted “sources familiar with the matter” as saying that US President Donald Trump's administration is considering a plan to stop and inspect Iranian oil tankers at sea.
Trump has previously restored the so-called maximum pressure campaign aimed at “isolating Iran from the global economy and driving its oil exports to zero, in order to stop the country from obtaining a nuclear weapon.”
The Islamic Republic of Iran has reiterated that the campaign will fail to achieve its objectives just as it did during Trump’s first term in office./Fars News
