Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) – Monitoring: "We reiterate our full commitment to the ceasefire agreement, the implementation of the agreed provisions, and our readiness to immediately begin the second phase of negotiations. In contrast, the occupying regime continues to violate the agreement and refuses to enter the second phase, which reveals its true intention to evade its obligations and waste time," the Shahab News Agency quoted the Hamas movement.
The Hamas stressed that Benjamin Netanyahu is obstructing the implementation of the agreement solely for personal and partisan reasons, while the release of the prisoners and the feelings of their families are of no importance to him.
The statement continued that this agreement was reached through the mediation of the relevant parties and under the supervision of the international community, and this requires the occupying regime to adhere to its implementation, because this path is considered the only path to the release of the prisoners.
Phase one of the Gaza ceasefire, which took effect on January 19, expired over the weekend, without negotiations even starting on the second stage.
Israel has requested an extension of the first stage and has halted the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza to pressure Hamas.
The Palestinian resistance group has rejected this call and says it is ready to hold negotiations for the second phase of the ceasefire, which calls for a permanent truce and the full withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.
