Syrian Kurdish group and interim government under Tahrir al-Sham control sign force merger agreement
Media outlets quoted the Syrian interim government as saying that the Syrian ruling body and the Syrian Kurdish Forces (SDF) signed a force merger agreement.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: According to Al Jazeera, the Syrian presidency under Tahrir al-Sham control announced in a statement: An agreement to merge the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) within the framework of the institutions of the Syrian Republic has been signed.
 
According to the statement, "The new agreement will include the merger of civilian and military institutions in northeastern Syria under the management of the Syrian government."
 
Al-Jolani's office said in the statement: The agreement was signed after a meeting between Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa and Syrian Democratic Forces Commander Mazloum Abdi.
 
According to the statement: The agreement emphasizes guaranteeing the rights of all Syrians to represent the people and participate in politics.
 
Al-Jolani's office claimed: "According to this agreement, the Kurdish community is an integral part of Syria and its rights in the constitution and citizenship are guaranteed."
 
According to the statement of the office, the agreement includes a ceasefire throughout Syrian territory.
 
The statement of Al-Jolani's office added: "The Syrian government will be supported to confront the remnants of the former government and any threat to the security and unity of the country."
 
Al-Jolani's office claimed: "This agreement rejects any call for division, spreading hatred and sedition among the Syrian ethnic groups."
 
According to the statement, "The executive committees are responsible for implementing the provisions of the agreement and its implementation should not exceed the end of this year."
 
Al-Jolani's office added: "According to this statement, the return of all Syrian refugees to their cities and villages is guaranteed and the Syrian government will ensure their security."
 
In this regard, Syrian sources told Al-Jazeera that a military convoy affiliated with the Ministry of Defense of the Al-Jolani regime will move towards Al-Hasakah in northeastern Syria in coordination with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
 
In this regard, Al-Jolani's office claimed: Syrian Defense Ministry forces will take over prisons that were under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
