Afghans’ significant investment in Khorasan Razavi economy/ 102 economic units managed by Afghans

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Mashhad: The head of the Association of Afghan Economic Activists in Khorasan Razavi announced that Afghan investors, with direct investment in 32 hotels and at least 70 factories and manufacturing and service units, fully manage these complexes in this province.

 

According to IRNA, Haj Bashir Ahmad Arbabi, head of the Association of Afghan Economic Activists in Khorasan Razavi, stated: "Most hotels, accommodation units, production and service units are operating under the management of Afghan investors in Mashhad city. In addition, 13 new hotels are also being built by Afghan investors, some of which have made up to 70 percent physical progress."

 

He added: "Afghan nationals have an economic participation in this province with the official registration of about 1,600 companies in various economic fields, including hotel and tourism, petrochemicals and fuel, industry and mining, services, commerce and agriculture."

 

The head of the Association of Afghan Economic Activists in Khorasan Razavi emphasized that the official operating license of these companies is registered with the General Directorate of Foreign Nationals and Immigrants of Khorasan Razavi, the Department of Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare, the Chamber of Commerce or the office of the provincial Foreign Investment Service Center.

 

According to the announcement of the Deputy of Security and Law Enforcement of the Khorasan Razavi Governorate, 396 thousand Afghan citizens with legal documents including a census form, employment card, valid passport, as well as unofficial estimates, at least 200 thousand unauthorized citizens from this country reside in Khorasan Razavi Province.

 

Khorasan Razavi Province, with a population of eight million, is one of the most important and populous provinces of Iran, where the presence of Afghan citizens plays a significant role in its economy.
