Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Mike Waltz, National Security Advisor to US President Donald Trump, said that Trump has agreed to resume the provision of military and intelligence assistance to Ukraine, describing the talks between Washington and Kiev in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia as positive.
Waltz said: The President (Trump) has decided to lift the suspension of aid to Ukraine and continue security support for the country. This decision will be implemented immediately.
A few days after the February 28 verbal dispute and tension between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House, the US President suspended military and intelligence assistance to Ukraine. The order went into effect on the morning of March 4 and covered all military aid that had not reached Ukraine, including weapons loaded and ready to be shipped by plane and ship or cargo about to be shipped in transit zones in Poland.
Earlier, White House spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt described the talks in Jeddah as “very, very gratifying.” In yesterday’s talks, Kiev agreed to a 30-day ceasefire with Russia and also to allow Washington access to “Ukraine’s scarce natural resources”!
