Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Ahmed al-Shara, the head of the Syrian transitional government, known as Abu Muhammad al-Jolani, has issued an order to form a temporary National Security Council.
According to Sputnik News Agency, the council was formed under the chairmanship of Al-Jolani and was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Defense, the Head of the Intelligence Service, the Minister of Interior, and two advisors appointed by the President. In addition, a specialized technical chair has been appointed to follow up on technical and scientific issues related to the council’s meetings.
Ahmed al-Sharaa, who has been involved in the Syrian civil war for years and is now acting as interim president, wrote in the decree:
“Based on the powers of the presidency and in line with the interests of the country, with the aim of strengthening national security in the coming period, a decision was made to form a National Security Council headed by the president to manage security and political issues.”
Massacre of Alawites
At the same time as the council was formed, numerous reports of mass massacres of Alawites in Syria have been published. According to reports, more than 1,000 people have been killed in clashes in the Alawite areas of Syria over the past few days. This figure was published by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
Informed sources have announced that the number of crimes against the Alawite tribe in Syria has exceeded 40 in the past few days. These crimes took place in nine Syrian cities and left more than 1,200 victims, especially among women, children and the elderly.
Some reports indicate that some of the victims were beheaded by al-Jolani elements, while others were set on fire and their bodies mutilated.
