China calls for more humanitarian aid and economic cooperation for Afghanistan
China has called on the international community to maintain engagement with the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and expand economic cooperation and humanitarian aid with Kabul.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Fu Kong, China's permanent representative to the United Nations, said on Monday, referring to the diplomatic progress of the Islamic Emirate, that several countries have negotiated and cooperated with the Afghan government in the past year.

Fu Kong called on the United States and Europe, which have caused Afghanistan's economic problems, to continue their assistance to Afghans without political considerations.

China has emphasized engagement with the current Afghan government at a time when Amir Khan Mottaqi, the acting foreign minister, has traveled to Oman to strengthen the country's political, economic and trade relations.
