Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: About 300 protesters, many of whom were Jewish peace activists, gathered in front of Donald Trump Tower in New York City yesterday and demanded the release of Mahmoud Khalil, a Palestinian student at Columbia University.
A number of protesters, holding placards with slogans such as "Deal with Nazis, not students" and "Stop sending weapons to Israel", expressed their protest against the repressive policies and military support of the United States for Israel.
New York police have announced that they have arrested 98 protesters during the rally. Reports indicate that some protesters were able to enter Trump Tower and continue their protest inside.
