As the 23rd anniversary of the establishment of the Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) approaches on March 16 and the 27th is National Journalist Day in the country; media officials and activists, while considering the more than two decades of AVA News Agency's activity as a great achievement for the country and the media community, described the journalists and officials of this media as professional, hardworking individuals committed to religious and national values. Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: As the 23rd anniversary of the establishment of the Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) approaches on March 16 and the National Journalist Day in Afghanistan on March 16, Rahmatullah Karimi, media activist and managing director of AVA News Agency, described the media outlet as one of the most influential institutions in the field of information in an interview with an AVA reporter on the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of the establishment of AVA.
 
He emphasized that the continued activity of such media outlets in the current difficult circumstances is a great achievement for Afghanistan and the media world in this country.
 
Karimi said: “The media in Afghanistan has been under various pressures, but Afghan Voice Agency has always been the voice of the people and the oppressed. We hope that media outlets like this will continue their activities and be the voices of freedom and truth-telling.”
 
Rahmatullah Karimi also congratulated the country's journalists and media activists on National Journalist Day and, referring to economic problems and restrictions on news sources, called on institutions supporting journalists and the government to facilitate access to information for journalists.
 
Mina Habib, a media activist and owner of the Events News Agency, referred to the situation of female journalists in Afghanistan and said that after recent developments, this group has faced additional challenges.
 
She emphasized that some spokespersons refuse to provide information to female journalists and that these restrictions have made it more difficult for them to provide information.
 
Mina Habib said: "Unfortunately, the international community has also forgotten Afghan journalists and thinks that they have all left the country, while many journalists still continue to work inside Afghanistan."
 
Referring to the 23rd anniversary of the establishment of the Afghan Voice News Agency (AVA), he described the media as an influential and pioneering institution in the field of information, adding that the journalists and officials of AVA are professional, hardworking individuals committed to religious and national values.
 
According to Mina Habib, AVA has been able to enjoy special and special credibility at the national and international levels by publishing timely, impartial, and professional reports.
 
On the other hand, Mojtaba Mohammadi, a media activist and managing director of Tawana News Agency, referring to the naming of the National Journalist Day, emphasized that celebrating this day should not be limited to holding ceremonies, but rather that legal and material support for journalists needs to be increased in practice.
 
He also highlighted the role of the government in ensuring security and supporting journalists, adding: "In the current situation, journalists need legal and material support more than anything else. The government must recognize its role in ensuring their physical safety and moral support."
 
Mohammadi also referred to the role of AVA News Agency in the Afghan media arena, saying that this media outlet has been influential in enlightening and informing over the past two decades.
 
It is worth noting that 27th of March is National Journalist Day and celebrating this day is an opportunity to recall the problems and challenges of this group and emphasize the need for greater support for them.
