Afghanistan and Kazakhstan have traded more than $430 million in the past 11 months
The Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Afghanistan announced that the volume of trade between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan in the first eleven months of 2014 reached more than $430 million.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Ministry of Industry and Commerce said that in the first 11 months of 1403 AH, more than $430 million was traded between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan.
 
Akhundzada Abdul Salam Javad, a spokesman for the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, said $45 million of the figure was exports.
 
"Afghanistan's trade with Kazakhstan in the first 11 months of 2014 was worth $430 million, of which $45 million was exports and $385 million was imports," the spokesman said.
 
Kazakhstan, one of the strongest economies in Central Asia, has increased its trade and economic ties with Afghanistan since the Islamic Emirate came back to power.
 
Meanwhile, the Chamber of Commerce and Investment considers Central Asian countries, especially Kazakhstan, as good markets for Afghan goods and emphasizes increasing exports to the country.
 
"Our trade is increasing day by day, most of our flour consumption comes from Kazakhstan, and wheat and oil, and a total of more than $800 million of our trade with Central Asia, of which $400 million is with Kazakhstan," said Khanjan Alkozi, a member of the board of the Chamber of Commerce and Investment, according to TOLOnews.
 
According to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the most exported items of Afghanistan to Kazakhstan are fruit juices, soft drinks, raisins, vegetables, sweets, onions, instant pots and grapes. It becomes oil.
 
It is worth mentioning that after the Islamic Emirate came to power, trade between Afghanistan and neighboring countries and the region has increased.
