Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Telegram channels covering Ukrainian war news have reported that the Ukrainian army has attempted to infiltrate Russia's Belgorod province by attacking the Krasnoyarsk border area.
Vyacheslav Gladkov, the governor of Russia's Belgorod province, announced that following the attack, all units, including the Ministry of Defense, the Bars-Belgorod Volunteer Force Border Guard Unit, Orlan, local defense forces, regional heads, and the deputy governor, were on alert and were at their posts to ensure the safety of residents.
These developments come as Russian forces reportedly are one step away from liberating Kursk in the west of the country.
According to published images, Ukrainian army armor is burning under fire from Russian forces near the Belgorod border.
The Belgorod governor announced that the Krasnoyarsk region has come under heavy artillery fire and has been attacked by 29 shells and 49 Ukrainian drones, 12 of which have been shot down.
Gladkov also reported that a bus hit a bomb on a road near the village of Grafovka, resulting in three people being injured.
In this regard, the Mash Telegram channel reported that two buses carrying workers from the Broiler company hit a landmine in Krasnoyarsk, resulting in five people being injured.
The Russian Spring War Correspondents Telegram channel also announced that Ukrainian forces have launched an offensive operation in the Belgorod region. According to the Telegram channel, Ukrainian soldiers began moving their equipment and personnel to the Belgorod-Kursk border at night, and in the morning they began clearing the area in several areas, and then launched attacks by sending tanks and personnel carriers.
According to ISNA, the Arkhangel Spetsnaza Telegram channel also wrote: "The defensive line has not been penetrated. Ukrainian infantrymen tried to penetrate, but failed."
According to the Pepel Telegram channel, local authorities began evacuating residents from the village of Grafovka, and a school building in this Russian town was completely destroyed as a result of artillery fire.
Meanwhile, Aptey Alaeddinov, deputy head of the Central Military-Political Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces, announced today (Tuesday) the almost complete liberation of the Kursk region from Ukrainian forces.
He emphasized: "Now we can state the fact that almost the entire territory of the Kursk region has been liberated."
The commander of the Akhmet special forces (Chechen battalion) of the Russian army added: "The Russian military advance had strong results, and almost all the settlements were liberated at once, and the enemy personnel were destroyed."
The capture of Kursk on Russian territory by Ukrainian troops in August last year was seen by Kiev as a trump card for the post-ceasefire stages and gaining concessions. By capturing this area, the Ukrainian army intended to relieve pressure on the war fronts inside its territory.
