The official start of the new academic year in the cold provinces of the country with an emphasis on religious and modern sciences
The speakers at the opening ceremony of the new academic year 1404 AH, in the cold provinces, which was held in the presence of senior government and educational officials, stressed that the Islamic Emirate pays attention to the development of modern and religious sciences within the framework of Islamic Sharia. They also announced reforms in the curriculum and emphasized the removal of content that is contrary to Afghan religion and traditions.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The new academic year 1404 AH, began with the presence of government officials, officials of the Ministry of Education and other ministries, teachers, students, education enthusiasts and other guests during a ceremony and ringing the bell, the press office of the Ministry of Education said in a statement on Thursday.
 
Maulvi Habibullah Agha, the acting head of the Ministry of Education, said at the ceremony that the propaganda of the Western world that the Islamic Emirate does not pay attention to the advancement of modern sciences is baseless.
 
He added that the Islamic Emirate in the light of Islamic Sharia considers the development of modern and religious sciences important and added that for the bright future of Afghan society and in order to compete with the countries of the world, along with religious sciences, modern sciences are also urgently needed.
 
Habibullah Agha said work was underway on a new curriculum and that any content that was in conflict with Afghan religion and traditions would be removed from the school curriculum.
 
The statement said that Maulvi Abdul Salam Hanafi, the administrative deputy of the prime minister, while congratulating the students on the new academic year, called them the future architects of the country and asked teachers to educate them with Islamic spirit and love for the country.
According to the statement, Sheikh Noor-ul-Haq Anwar, the head of the General Administration of Affairs, also said that the Islamic Emirate as a system has fulfilled all its responsibilities well.
 
He called the implementation of Sharia, security, education, health and strengthening the country's economy among the responsibilities that the people have enjoyed with the re-establishment of the Islamic Emirate.
 
The head of the department of affairs noted that there have been positive changes in the education, security, curriculum and other areas in Afghanistan compared to the past.
