Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Coinciding with the 19th of the holy month of Ramadan and the days of Imam Ali (AS) being struck, a cultural and religious activist in the program "Constructive Dialogue, Examining Challenges and Providing Solutions" held twice a week by the Tabyan Center in Kabul, spoke about the outstanding characteristics of Imam Ali (AS) in the second interview of this week, today (Thursday, 20th March).
In this interview, Ms. Marzieh Ebrahimi considered the caliphate of Imam Ali (AS) to be short in terms of time and added that in terms of content and achievements, the caliphate of this great Imam is of great importance.
She added that during his caliphate, Imam Ali (AS) always tried to spread social justice and confronted the deviations that had arisen after the death of the Prophet (PBUH). He also observed and emphasized justice in all aspects of life, from family to society.
Mrs. Ebrahimi noted that Imam Ali (AS) was not only a just ruler, but also a prominent scholar who encouraged people to acquire knowledge and made great efforts to spread religious knowledge, and she mentioned the valuable book Nahj al-Balagha by Imam Hammam as one of his lasting works.
This cultural activist described Imam Ali (AS) as a brave person and said that in the early days of Islam, he was always at the forefront of the struggle to defend religion and Islamic values. She also added that his courage on the battlefields was exemplary and this characteristic is considered one of the main factors in his military successes.
Marzieh Ebrahimi considered the life of Imam Ali (AS) to be full of instructive lessons and a worthy role model for everyone, and said that his most important moral characteristics include his justice and fairness.
He also described Imam Hammam as an ascetic and simple-minded personality, adding: Despite their high status, they chose a very simple life and avoided luxuries.
He considered kindness and generosity to be other personality traits of Imam Ali (AS) and said that he behaved with mercy and forgiveness even towards his enemies.
Continuing his speech, this cultural activist emphasized the need to emulate the personality of Imam Ali (AS) and said that asceticism, piety, justice, courage and kindness are among the most important lessons that can be learned from the life of the Imam, and if young people put these traits at the forefront of their lives, they can take steps on the path of growth and perfection.
