Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Mazar-e-Sharif: As the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan and International Quds Day approach, Hojjat-ul-Islam Sayyed Mohammad Azizi, an expert on religious issues in Sar-e-Pul province, considered supporting Palestine and defending Quds an important duty and religious mission for followers of Islam in an interview with AVA.
Citing verses from the Holy Quran, he said: "A Muslim who does not defend Palestine should doubt his own Muslimness. Because according to the verses of the Quran, believers are brothers to each other and never tolerate the suffering and misfortune of their brother."
Emphasizing that defending Palestine is not only a collective and governmental duty, Hojjat al-Islam Azizi added: "God Almighty has ordered to support the oppressed and confront oppression, and today, our faithful Palestinian brothers are under the oppression and crimes of the brutal Israeli regime."
This religious scholar described the Zionist regime as a "bloodthirsty regime" and called on the followers of Islam to defend the oppressed Palestinian people with unity and empathy against this regime and its supporters.
Referring to the formation of a global wave of support for Palestine in recent years, he expressed hope that this support will lead to an end to oppression and the realization of the rights of the oppressed Palestinian people.
It is worth noting that over the past two years, a huge global wave of support for the oppressed Palestinian people and condemnation of the Zionist regime has formed.
