Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: "Seyyed Abbas Araghchi" and "Ararat Mirzoyan", the Foreign Ministers of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Armenia, participated in a joint press conference on Tuesday after meeting and talking with each other in Yerevan.
Regarding Iran's response to Trump's letter, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran said: We have not yet responded to the US President's letter, and this response is being prepared and will be presented soon through the appropriate channels and in the appropriate form.
He continued by stating that "Iran and I have closely exchanged views on the issues of the South Caucasus region, especially the current developments," and said: "We welcome the agreement between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan on the text of the peace treaty and believe that signing this agreement as soon as possible can greatly contribute to strengthening peace and stability in the region and also to the economic development of the region. We encourage both countries to sign this finalized agreement as soon as possible." He also emphasized: "We support the independence and territorial integrity of the countries of the region and are against any change in international borders and geopolitical changes in the region, and this is the firm and unchangeable position of the Islamic Republic of Iran. In our belief, regional issues should be resolved within the region and through dialogue and diplomacy, without resorting to force."
