Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov revealed the continuation of the talks between Moscow and Washington at a press conference on Tuesday. He spoke cautiously about the "technical consultations" of the Russian and American delegations in Riyadh and added that the report of the meeting is now being "analyzed" by officials from the two countries.
However, the Kremlin refused to disclose further details of the meeting, saying only that "the talks will continue," but "a date for the next meeting has not yet been set."
Amidst speculation about the content of the meeting, two points from the Kremlin spokesman stood out: first, "no plan for a trilateral meeting between Russia, the US and Ukraine" and second, "no plan for a Putin-Trump dialogue".
In response to the deaths of the Russian journalists, Peskov also accused the international community of "indifference" and considered Zelensky's release of a picture of the Kremlin burning "an indicator of his level of spiritual growth".
These statements once again emphasized the existing tensions between Russia and the West, as well as the depth of the differences between Moscow and Kiev. Now we have to wait and see whether these secret consultations will unravel the complex knot of the Ukrainian crisis.
