Deadly accidents on Kabul-Kandahar highway leave 10 dead
At least 10 casualties have been reported after two accidents on the Kabul-Kandahar highway, according to security officials in Maidan Wardak.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Yousuf Asrar, spokesperson for the provincial police command, told the media that the incidents occurred in the areas of Lurah and Dasht-e-Top, within Saydabad district.
According to Asrar, the first accident involved a collision between a Mazda truck and a Toyota, leaving two people dead and three others injured.
The second accident took place when a Toyota Fielder overturned, injuring five people.
Authorities confirmed that the wounded were transported to nearby medical facilities with the assistance of security personnel and local residents.
