Afghanistan National Journalists House condemns killing of Palestinian journalists; Zionist flag burned in Kabul
Amidst the escalation of the Zionist regime’s attacks on Gaza, especially targeting Palestinian journalists, the Zionist flag and the image of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu were burned in a protest in Kabul. The head of the country’s National Journalists House called on international organizations to react to the killing of Palestinian journalists.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: In response to the escalation of the inhumane and brutal attacks by the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip, especially the killing of 209 journalists and media activists, as well as the martyrdom of two Palestinian journalists, Hussam Shabat and Mohammad Mansour, in another criminal attack, the Afghan National Journalists House burned the Zionist flag and the image of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Sayed Yasin Mateen, head of the National House of Journalists of Afghanistan, strongly condemned the killing of Palestinian journalists, especially the martyrdom of "Hussam Shabat" and "Mohammad Mansour" by the Zionist regime, in a press conference, stating that these actions indicate the regime's clear hostility to knowledge and information.

He emphasized that the Israeli regime's goal in suppressing and killing journalists is to silence the voice of truth and prevent information from being disseminated about their crimes in Palestine.

Criticizing the shameful silence of international institutions, especially the United Nations, regarding the killing of 209 Palestinian journalists, the head of the National House of Journalists of Afghanistan called on these institutions to take a firm stance against the crimes of the Zionist regime and take the necessary measures to prevent these brutal attacks.

Raising the question, "Where are the international and human rights organizations that journalists are martyred every day in Gaza?", he added: "Aren't these journalists human? Are they not human beings that the bloodthirsty and child-killing Zionist regime martyrs every day?”

Pointing to the importance of International Quds Day, Mateen considered this day a symbol of unity and solidarity of the Islamic world and called on Muslims to stand by the oppressed people of Palestine and declare their full support for them.

The head of the National House of Journalists of Afghanistan also criticized some Islamic countries, especially Arab countries, and stated that their silence against the crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza is shameful. He added that some of these countries have not only remained silent against these crimes, but also have secret cooperation with this regime.

In conclusion, he emphasized that the media and journalists of the world must stand against the oppression and crimes of the Zionist regime and not allow the voices of the oppressed people of Palestine to be silenced.

This is while the Zionist regime has recently, in continuation of its crimes against humanity, martyred two other Palestinian journalists, Hussam Shabat and Muhammad Mansour, in a criminal attack.
