Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Tehran: The 6th International Congress of Quds Sharif with the slogan "Hayy Ali Al-Quds" was held on the afternoon of Wednesday, March 26, with the presence of 80 foreign guests from 13 countries, including Afghanistan, including 20 Palestinian scholars, leaders and representatives of Abrahamic religions, various Islamic sects, as well as ambassadors and senior diplomats of Islamic countries in the city of "Aslawiyya" in Bushehr province in the south of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

 

Ayatollah Gholam Ali Safai Bushehri, representative of the Supreme Leader and Friday Imam of Bushehr of the Islamic Republic of Iran, while welcoming the international guests present at the ceremony, stated: "The presence of representatives from Islamic countries in this meeting, especially in the current sensitive circumstances, promises further synergy to strengthen the unity of the Islamic nation."

 

Emphasizing the pivotal role of Islam in saving humanity, he said: “Islam, which has remained steadfast despite the threats and attacks of enemies, is the only path to human happiness and perfection and the path to realizing authentic Islamic civilization, as clearly explained in the Holy Quran and religious teachings.”

The Supreme Leader’s representative in Bushehr added: “The holding of this congress is a symbol of the 500-year history of the resistance of the people of Bushehr province against colonialism and foreigners. A people who have never given up even a single inch of their land to the enemy and have remained proud by preserving their Islamic and religious culture.”

Ayatollah Safai Bushehri called the resistance movement a valuable experience and stated: “The Islamic world needs to understand this historical experience and expand it globally. The only way to overcome the existing crises is to stand against arrogance and plan for intelligent Islamic diplomacy.”

 

He warned against the media attack against the Islamic world and stated: “Global arrogance is trying to engineer the thoughts of Muslims and make them submit to the system of domination through heavy media attacks. Countering this trend requires a united Islamic media front.”

Continuing his speech, Ayatollah Safaei, citing the noble verse “And hold fast to the rope of Allah all together and do not be divided,” emphasized: “Unity is a fundamental principle in Islamic teachings that has been strongly emphasized in both Shiite and Sunni schools of thought.”

He then addressed the issue of “resistance” as the essence of human life and said: “Just as in nature, only a tree that resists a storm flourishes, nations that stand against oppression will achieve victory. God has also promised in the Quran that He is with those who persevere.”

Referring to examples from the history of resistance, the Friday Imam of Bushehr said: “Prophet Moses (AS) stood against Pharaoh and achieved victory by the will of God. In Nahj al-Balagha, Imam Ali (AS) also refers to the difficulties of Moses’ life, but what led to his victory was his steadfastness in the path of truth.”

In the final part of his speech, he praised the resistance of the Palestinian nation and the Islamic Resistance Front, adding: “As history testifies, steadfastness in the path of truth has always led to victory, and undoubtedly the future will belong to the oppressed.”

In the end, Ayatollah Safai Bushehri congratulated the Palestinian nation, the martyrs of the resistance, and all Muslim nations on the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan, and wished God Almighty victory, honor, and pride for the Palestinian nation, the martyrs of the resistance, and all Muslim nations.

 

Supporting Palestine is a Human and Islamic Duty

 

On the other hand, Dr. Arsalan Zare, the Governor of Bushehr, in his speech to the participants of this congress, once again emphasized the unconditional support of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the oppressed people of Palestine and said: “We have gathered today to declare our solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine. The attacks of the Zionist occupation regime have led to the massacre of hundreds of innocent civilians, especially women and children, which is a clear example of crime, genocide and ethnic cleansing in the occupied Palestinian territories.”

The Governor of Bushehr added: “The sad situation of the Palestinian people, especially in the Gaza Strip, has not only hurt the hearts of Muslims around the world, but also the hearts of every freedom-loving person. This reality represents a clear injustice against a nation that is only defending its legitimate right against occupation and aggression; a right that is even recognized in international law.”

Referring to the positions of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in supporting the Palestinian cause, he noted: “What is happening today on the part of the Zionist regime is a series of undeniable crimes. As the wise leader of the Islamic Revolution emphasized in his Nowruz message, supporting the Palestinian nation is not only an Islamic duty, but also a human responsibility for all free people in the world.”

Zare also praised the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran and said: “Imam Khomeini (RA) named the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as International Quds Day with a profound and forward-looking vision so that the issue of Palestine would always remain alive and current; an issue that has been at the forefront of the attention of the Islamic nation with stability and dynamism.”

 

He emphasized at the end of his speech: "The zealous, faithful, and resilient people of Islamic Iran, just as they are passionately present at this ceremony today, will continue to stand by the oppressed people of Palestine. The Iranian nation, alongside other free people of the world, will declare their firm support for the Palestinian people and the axis of resistance in the International Quds Day march, with a larger presence than in previous years."
