Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: For the first time, images of the scene of the massacre of aid workers in the city of Rafah have been released. The videos show that the condition of the bodies is horrific, with most of the skulls crushed and burned and beyond recognition.
On the morning of March 23, a joint team consisting of members of the civil defense teams and the Red Crescent and an international aid organization were dispatched to the site following emergency calls from wounded and besieged civilians in the Tal Sultan area.
On March 30, the Palestine Red Crescent announced that it had discovered the bodies of 14 aid workers in Rafah, including eight Red Crescent staff, five civil defense staff and a staff member of a UN agency. The killings underscore the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip and the grave dangers that aid workers face in war zones.
International and human rights organizations have called for an immediate and transparent investigation into the attack and for the safety of aid workers.
