Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) – Kabul: Mohammad Naeem Wardak, Deputy Foreign Minister for Finance and Administration, has said in a message on X (formerly Twitter) that Afghanistan is entitled to receive compensation based on all international laws for the “unlawful occupation and imposed wars” by the US and its allies for 20 years.
He added: “It is surprising that today some countries even make humanitarian aid conditional on political conditions and repeatedly reconsider its continuation.”
These statements come at a time when the US House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee, headed by Brian Mast, has recently discussed a bill to completely cut off financial aid to Afghanistan.
Brian Mast has called the officials of the Islamic Emirate terrorists and said that American taxpayers’ money should not be given to them.
According to media reports, the reduction in humanitarian aid to Afghanistan by the US has made the activities of many relief organizations in the country difficult. The United Nations and other international organizations have warned that this situation could deepen the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan.
In contrast, the officials of the Islamic Emirate, emphasizing the “rightfulness of receiving compensation,” introduce the United States as directly responsible for the economic and social crisis in the country.
With the intensification of tensions between the US and the current Afghan government, the future of humanitarian cooperation and international interactions with Kabul has become increasingly uncertain; An issue that has not only cast a shadow over the situation of immigrants and vulnerable groups, but has also destabilized the country's economic reconstruction process.
