Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): According to the press office of the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriates, the men were arrested in different parts of Pakistan and held in jail for between one and five days. The ministry said in a statement today that the people were transferred to their main areas of residence in Afghanistan after registering at the relevant centers and receiving humanitarian aid.
Also, according to information received from the Spin Boldak border guard in Kandahar province, hundreds of other Afghan migrants who were imprisoned in Pakistan were released and returned to the country last week.
This comes as the Pakistani government is arresting and imprisoning undocumented Afghan migrants in flagrant violation of international law and human rights. The process has drawn widespread protests from human rights and international organizations calling for respect for migrants' rights and a review of Pakistan's policies towards Afghan migrants.
In this regard, the media and human rights organizations are constantly following the situation of Afghan refugees in Pakistan. Many reports emphasize that Pakistan's treatment of Afghan refugees violates international human rights law and calls for measures to resolve the legal problems of these refugees.
