Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: According to the press release of the Office of the Prime Minister’s Deputy for Economic Affairs, the draft National Development Strategy is a comprehensive, unified and long-term document that has been prepared with the aim of determining and achieving basic national goals in the next five years, under the leadership of the Deputy Prime Minister’s Economic Office, under the Secretariat of the Ministry of Economy and in joint cooperation with relevant sectoral ministries.
It has been said that this strategy has a vision for a stable, prosperous Afghanistan with good relations with the region and the world, and its goals include strengthening Islamic Sharia law, ensuring the principle of effectiveness, transparency and accountability, expanding effective and good relations with the region and the world, strengthening sustainable peace and overall security, creating employment and economic growth, preserving religious and national values, territorial integrity and Islamic sovereignty, promoting the effectiveness of national and natural resource management, improving the provision of basic services, growing industry, trade and the private sector, developing infrastructure and regional connectivity, promoting social security and improving the environment.
In this meeting, the Economic Commission also tasked the Ministry of Finance to include feasibility studies projects for power dams on natural reservoirs in Mandoul district of Nuristan province and in the Kalhgush area of Noorgram district of this province in the fiscal budget for 1404.
Also, at the end of the meeting, plans to establish a Tir Park in Khunjan district of Baghlan province and establish an underground commercial market in the center of Ghazni province were approved by the private sector. According to these plans, the private sector will invest 209 million Afghanis to build a park in Khunjan district of Baghlan province, and 309 million Afghanis to build an underground market with 511 shops in Ghazni province.
It was also said that these issues have been sent to the office of the Leader of the Islamic Emirate for approval.
