Pakistani Special Representative arrives in Kabul

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Afghanistan's Special Representative for Afghanistan Mohammad Sadiq Khan said on Monday that he had arrived in Kabul at the head of a delegation.

 

 The delegation is in Kabul to attend a meeting of the Afghanistan-Pakistan Joint Coordination Committee.

 

Abdul Qayum Zakir, the deputy minister of defense of the Islamic Emirate, is said to be attending the meeting on behalf of Afghanistan.

 

Tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan have escalated over the forced deportation of Afghan refugees and the violent treatment of Afghan refugees by Islamabad police.
