Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country issued a statement today (Wednesday, April 16) saying that UNAMA's recent statements are irresponsible and stem from ignorance of Islamic rulings.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs added that the implementation of Islamic rulings, including the Qisas verdict, is an inseparable part of Islamic law and reminds UNAMA that criticism of Islamic rulings is an irresponsible act, against UNAMA's mission and an intolerable act that must be prevented.
The press release states that the verdict of the Islamic Emirate courts, which includes a comprehensive review of legal cases through three courts, is issued after a full investigation, and the accused individuals also have the right to defense from the beginning.
UNAMA had previously strongly criticized the execution and retribution sentences of individuals and criminals by the Islamic Emirate.
