High-level delegation of the Islamic Emirate visits Pakistan; Trade barriers and challenges faced by migrants
The Ministry of Industry and Trade announced that Nooruddin Azizi, the acting head of the ministry, has left for Pakistan along with a delegation of government and private sector representatives. The main purpose of the visit is to review and remove barriers to trade and transit between the two countries, as well as to discuss challenges related to Afghan refugees living in Pakistan.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Ministry of Industry and Commerce announced that a high-level delegation of the Islamic Emirate, headed by Mr. Azizi, includes representatives of the Deputy Prime Minister's Economic Department, the Investment Facilitation Directorate of the Department of Affairs, as well as the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Finance, Refugees and Returnees Affairs, Civil Transport, Aviation, Aviation and Trust. He has left for Pakistan.
 
The delegation will meet with Pakistani officials to discuss and resolve the problems facing trade and transit between Afghanistan and Pakistan and provide solutions to improve trade conditions, the statement said. Another priority of the visit is to discuss the situation of Afghan refugees in Pakistan and explore solutions to their challenges.
 
Relations between Kabul and Islamabad have been strained in recent months. Especially after Pakistan forcibly deported millions of its citizens.
 
Pakistan's special envoy for Afghanistan arrived in Kabul this morning.
