Kabul emphasizes expanding agricultural and livestock cooperation with Tashkent / Afghanistan is ready to provide raw materials to Uzbek factories
The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock says that during a trip to the city of Bukhara, Uzbekistan and a meeting with the city’s officials, the acting minister of the ministry emphasized the expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tashkent and Kabul in the fields of agriculture, livestock and the use of advanced irrigation systems. He reminded of providing raw materials needed for Uzbek factories upon their request from Afghanistan and described it as part of economic cooperation between the two countries.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock sent a press release to AVA News Agency today (Thursday, April 17) that Maulvi Ataullah Omari, acting minister of the ministry, headed an official delegation to the city of Bukhara, Uzbekistan, and met and discussed with the governor of Bukhara and a number of local officials.

During the meeting, the Acting Minister of Agriculture emphasized the expansion of bilateral cooperation between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan in the fields of agriculture, livestock, and the use of advanced irrigation systems.

According to the press release, he called for the exchange of technical experiences and the launch of training programs for the employees of the ministry, and considered Bukhara a model and a good opportunity for Afghanistan in terms of progress in these areas.

Molavi Omari also reminded of the provision of raw materials required for Uzbek factories upon their request by Afghanistan, and described it as part of the economic cooperation between the two countries.

He also mentioned Uzbekistan as a suitable alternative for importing items needed by Afghanistan and announced the readiness of the ministry for further cooperation in this regard.

The press release adds that during this visit, the parties also emphasized the continuation of technical meetings and the expansion of relations within the framework of regional cooperation.

The Acting Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock of the Islamic Emirate also expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the officials of the city of Bukhara for preserving and maintaining the holy places of Muslims in this city.

It is worth mentioning that a few days ago, Maulvi Ataullah Omari, Acting Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, headed an official delegation to this country with the aim of expanding agricultural and livestock cooperation between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan.
