John Kerry: Trump has a good chance to reach an agreement with Iran
Former US Secretary of State and head of the Obama administration's Iran negotiator, John Kerry, announced in his recent statements that a new opportunity has emerged to reach an agreement with Iran. He clarified that there is a "small window" for negotiations and emphasized that the balance of power has changed significantly in the past ten years.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): John Kerry noted that the coalition that defined the terms of the nuclear negotiations in 2015 no longer exists. He added that European countries have maintained their relations with Tehran and that the multilateral sanctions that the international community had imposed to force Iran to negotiate have been lifted over time and are unlikely to return.

Changes in US relations with Moscow and Beijing are also among the factors that, according to Kerry, have influenced the need to reach a new agreement. The differences over Ukraine and trade issues have changed these relations, and as a result, reaching a new agreement seems necessary.

Kerry also emphasized, referring to the demands of American officials, that the future agreement should include three main issues: Iran's nuclear program, missile program, and lack of support for resistance groups. He called on Trump to limit uranium enrichment to civilian use, as well as to create "severe restrictions on the ballistic missile program and a complete cessation of support for proxy groups."

While Kerry is seeking to reach an agreement on various issues, Iran has repeatedly emphasized that it cannot negotiate with anyone on its nuclear principles and enrichment and believes that negotiations should be limited solely to nuclear issues.

It seems that in the current situation, the parties should carefully examine the new conditions and seize the existing opportunities.
