Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): German authorities on Thursday launched a preliminary investigation into eight cases of document forgery, German authorities said on Thursday.
The investigation began after a charter plane carrying 138 Afghans landed in Leipzig, eastern Germany, on Wednesday evening. The flight was from Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan.
A spokesman for the German interior ministry told Bild newspaper that preliminary investigations had begun into the newly arrived migrants, focusing on the possibility of using forged documents in the process of entering Germany.
