The army is the strong fortress of the government and the nation of Iran

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)-International Service: According to Iranian media reports, at the ceremony of commemorating the Army Day of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Iranian President Masoud Pazeshkian, while celebrating the bravery and services of the army forces of this country, said: The army is the strong fortress of the nation, the adornment of the province, the helper and assistant of the state and the source of honor of the society.

 

Emphasizing the decisive role of the army in ensuring Iran's national security, he stated: Security and tranquility in our country are due to the presence of a strong and prepared army; If this blessed power did not exist in society, security would disappear from the country.

 

The President of Iran stated that the Islamic Republic Army today plays a key role in strengthening the peace discourse and regional interaction, adding: With the help of the army and other military, law enforcement, and security forces, Iran is today known as the undisputed power of the region and has been able to be a messenger of stability and peace.

 

Pezheshkian described the Islamic Republic Army as a regular institution and a model in the country's administrative structure, saying: Unlike some administrative structures that suffered structural deviations, the army has continued its path with exemplary cohesion and order.

 

Referring to the enemies' efforts at the beginning of the Islamic Revolution to weaken the country's army, he stated: Thanks to the brilliant leadership of the Imam and the Supreme Leader, the army was preserved and played its historic role in defending the country by sacrificing more than 48,000 martyrs and 200,000 veterans.

 

He continued: If the army were not there, the enemies could have destroyed the revolution; But the presence of the army's soldiers disturbed their sleep and showed that the Iranian armed forces are an impenetrable barrier for the enemies.

 

Pazeshkian also pointed to the achievements of the Islamic Republic of Iran's army in the field of defense self-sufficiency and said: "Once upon a time, we were dependent even for the simplest defense equipment, but today we proudly announce that our army has become an independent and productive power in the air, land and sea and meets all defense needs by relying on domestic power."

 

In conclusion, the President of Iran, appreciating the efforts of the Islamic Republic of Iran's army, noted: "The army stands by the nation and the government in all crises and has become the driving force behind the country's development by playing an effective role in transferring knowledge and technology to industry, trade and universities." He considered the anthem of solidarity of the armed forces at the ceremony a symbol of national unity and said: "This cohesion is the greatest obstacle to the realization of the enemies' conspiracies."
