Confidence in Pakistan
As tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan have escalated in recent months, diplomatic exchanges between the two countries have also intensified; But political analysts see these movements as more symbolic and intermittent, and stressing Pakistan's history of dual policy towards Afghanistan, it is impossible to trust the commitments of Pakistan's officials.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: As Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar arrived in Kabul, political analyst Fazlur Rehman Oria said in an interview with AVA that Pakistan urgently needs its own geography for Afghanistan, pointing to the deep political, economic and security crisis.

"Pakistan is trying to increase trade with Central Asian countries through Afghanistan by creating easy conditions and revive the declining trade with Afghanistan," Uria said.

According to Uria, Pakistan's recent increase in relations with Afghanistan is aimed at increasing investment and advancing major projects such as CASA-1000, TAP, TAPI and Afghan Trans.

However, Uria stressed that Pakistan has always played a double game against Afghanistan and its commitments cannot be trusted.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Yousuf Amin Zazi, another political analyst, said in an interview with Ava that Afghanistan has no problem with Pakistan, adding that it is Pakistan that always creates tension in various political, economic and security areas.

According to Zazi, Pakistan, despite its neighborhood and religious commonalities, has always treated Afghanistan cruelly and inhumanly and continues to be hostile to the country.

"While Pakistan is increasing diplomatic traffic, it is destroying Afghanistan and introducing it as a haven for terrorists," he said, referring to Pakistan's dual policies.

Zazi stressed that Pakistan does not want the Afghan people to achieve their rights and a powerful government to be formed in the country, but wants Afghanistan to always be in need and involved in crisis.

He said the visits of delegations from both sides had not yielded any results and that until Pakistan's strategy towards Afghanistan changed, Afghanistan would not see a happy face.

"These movements are more symbolic and have no results," Zazi said, referring to the growing discontent of the Afghan people with Pakistan's oppression.

Ambiguous and opaque angles of Pakistan's approach to Afghanistan
Diplomatic relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan are increasing as the process of deporting Afghan refugees from the country intensifies.

The visit comes as former US envoy to Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad has warned that Pakistan is using the deportation process as a cover for the transfer of ISIS fighters to Afghanistan.

However, Zabihullah Mujahid, a spokesman for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, said all returning migrants would be thoroughly screened and registered.

All of these statements indicate Pakistan's vague and unclear relations with Afghanistan.

Ishaq Dar is the second Pakistani foreign minister to visit Afghanistan in the past three years. Before him, in 2021, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, the foreign minister of Imran Khan's government, visited Kabul.
