Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Abdul Salam Hanafi, Deputy Prime Minister’s Office, has emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries in a meeting with Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan.
In the meeting hosted by Abdul Salam Hanafi in Kabul, the two sides discussed common issues including peace, security and people-to-people contacts.
According to a press release from the Pakistani Foreign Ministry, the two sides agreed to expand bilateral trade, transit and economic cooperation in order to ensure the common interests of the people of both countries.
The statement added that the two sides will continue to engage to “achieve the full potential of regional economic development” and cooperate through the implementation of trans-regional connectivity projects.
It is worth noting that the Pakistani Foreign Minister arrived in Kabul this morning at the head of a high-level delegation.
Hours ago, the Pakistani Foreign Minister also met with the Foreign Minister and the Prime Minister of the country.
