Central Bank officials inaugurated electronic banking and financial services in Mazar-e-Sharif by holding a three-day exhibition to facilitate financial services.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Mazar-e-Sharif: Hasibullah Noori, spokesman for the Central Bank, announced the opening of electronic banking and financial services in a recent meeting with traders and managers of private banks in the city of Mazar-e-Sharif. The meeting was held in the presence of senior officials of the Central Bank and the Ministry of Finance in Balkh province.

Noori stated that the Central Bank has been established in the Mazar-e-Hotel business center to facilitate electronic financial services for compatriots. In addition, a three-day exhibition has been launched in this center to introduce the nature of electronic financial services and raise public awareness.

He added: “This measure will replace bank cards with physical money so that citizens can pay their daily expenses using cards.” Noori also emphasized that the electronic financial system is a convenient facility for citizens and that numerous security measures have been taken to ensure the security of electronic money.

Maulvi Abdul Jalil Shahidkhel, head of the Balkh Province Ulema Council, referred to the improved security situation in the country after the Islamic Emirate government came to power at the meeting and said: “Every businessman can invest without worry.” He noted that previously, due to insecurity, businessmen and bankers did not dare to transfer their money, but now they can do so without worry.

It should be noted that the physical use of money has imposed huge costs on the government.
