Following the consultations between Kabul and Islamabad, the Acting Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate and the Foreign Minister of Pakistan emphasized in a telephone call the implementation of previous commitments, especially addressing the situation of Afghan refugees. This call was made after the recent visit of the Pakistani delegation to Kabul.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate has announced that Maulvi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Acting Minister of the Ministry, discussed in a telephone call with Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, about the follow-up and implementation of commitments made during the recent visit of the Pakistani delegation to Kabul.

In this conversation, Ishaq Dar thanked the Islamic Emirate for its warm hospitality in Kabul and said that his country has taken serious measures to implement the agreements, especially in the field of addressing the problems of Afghan refugees and receiving their complaints.

According to the Pakistani Foreign Minister, the country's Interior Ministry has established a control room to register the complaints of refugees and contact numbers have been published for direct communication of refugees.

On the other hand, Amir Khan Muttaqi also called the visit of his Pakistani counterpart to Kabul a positive step towards resolving the issues between the two countries and appreciated the efforts to activate the central control room for refugees.

This phone call took place after Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar arrived in Kabul on a one-day visit on March 20.

This visit took place amidst pressure and criticism of the process of expelling Afghan refugees and Islamabad's security claims against Kabul.

Earlier, Amir Khan Muttaqi, in a face-to-face meeting with the Pakistani delegation, had emphasized the gradual, safe and dignified return of Afghan refugees from Pakistan.
