Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Ministry of Industry and Commerce announced that Nooruddin Azizi, the Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce, hosted representatives of Xijiang Company (XPCC) from the People's Republic of China this afternoon.
It was said that in this meeting, representatives of Xijiang Company expressed their full readiness to cooperate in various economic sectors of Afghanistan, including trade, investment, construction, irrigation systems and increasing agricultural production.
According to the press release, the Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce, while welcoming the cooperation proposals of the Xijiang Company representatives, emphasized the provision of necessary cooperation for the implementation of joint projects between the two sides.
The meeting is said to be an important step towards strengthening the growing economic relations between Afghanistan and China and demonstrates the interest of Chinese investors in economic opportunities in Afghanistan.
The Ministry of Industry and Commerce added that further details on the proposed projects and the modalities of cooperation will be announced in the near future.
