Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: According to a report by Russia Today, Trump's possible plan may include sending European forces to Ukraine to maintain the ceasefire. The New York Post also reported, citing a senior American official, that Russia and Ukraine are considering this proposal.
The details of Trump's plan are not yet fully clear, but reports indicate that it may include recognizing Russian sovereignty over the Crimean Peninsula and sending European forces to ensure Ukraine's security after the end of the conflict. A proposal to deploy a peacekeeping unit to monitor a possible ceasefire has also been raised.
Meanwhile, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that contacts between Russia and the United States were continuing through various channels, and Russian President Vladimir Putin had repeatedly expressed his readiness to contact the Ukrainian side. However, Peskov stressed that Kiev had not yet taken any steps to lift the ban on talks with Russia.
Russia has rejected any deployment of European troops to Ukraine and stressed the need to take into account the "root causes" of the war, including NATO's expansion to the eastern borders and Kiev's desire to join the alliance, in any peace agreement.
Peskov also said that Moscow had not received a response from Kiev in the past 24 hours to Putin's offer to contact him about the idea of imposing restrictions on attacks on civilian targets.
