Ministry of Justice suspends activities of pharmaceutical companies’ union due to corruption
The Ministry of Justice says that the acting minister of the ministry announced in a meeting with a number of pharmaceutical company officials that the activities of the pharmaceutical companies’ union have been canceled due to corruption in its leadership.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Ministry of Justice issued a press release saying that Sheikh Abdul Hakim Sharai, the acting minister of the ministry, said in a meeting with a number of Dow company officials that the previous union of these companies was canceled due to corruption in its leadership and that the mentioned companies should establish a new union.

The Ministry of Justice says that Sheikh Abdul Hakim Sharai, in this meeting, referred to the import and sale of low-quality and expired medicines, as well as the sale of medicines by companies at exorbitant prices, which threatens people’s lives with low-quality and expired medicines.

According to the Ministry of Justice, a joint investigation by the ministry and other relevant departments shows that some companies are selling medicines at a higher price than the set price by forging documents, thereby increasing the price of medicines in the market. It is worth mentioning that some citizens of the country had previously complained about the poor quality of medicines and their exorbitant prices.
