Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Hossein Roustaei, Commercial Counselor of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kabul, has announced the dispatch of the largest Afghan trade delegation to Iran in the past ten years. The delegation will include 200 national and international businessmen, economic activists and investors of the country.
According to IRNA, according to Hossein Roustaei, the delegation will be headed by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock of the Islamic Emirate, and members of the Board of Directors of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment will also be present. He added that increasing economic and trade cooperation and strengthening trade relations between Tehran and Kabul are among the main priorities of this trip.
The commercial counselor of the Iranian Embassy in Kabul also stated: This high-level delegation consists of representatives from various economic sectors, including industry, agriculture, technical and professional, construction, services, investment, mining and minerals.
According to him, the goal of setting a trade volume of $10 billion between Iran and Afghanistan is on the agenda. He noted: The pristine and promising market of Afghanistan has doubled the need for joint investments, joint production and the use of new trade methods with this neighboring country.
Rousati further added that during the Iran Expo 2025 exhibition, three levels of economic and trade interactions have been considered for the Afghan delegation: government-to-government interaction (G2G), government-to-private sector (G2B), and business-to-business interaction (B2B). These mechanisms will pave the way for concluding trade contracts and joint investments.
The seventh Iran Expo 2025 will be held in Tehran for five days. The event will be attended by around 2,500 businessmen from different countries around the world, including Afghanistan.
