Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The press office of the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation said in a statement that Mullah Hamidullah Akhundzada, the acting head of the ministry, met with Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin and his delegation.
According to the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation, the two sides discussed expanding bilateral transport relations between the two countries, providing transit facilities and facilitating visa issuance for Afghan drivers.
During the meeting, Sergei Zhumangarin said that the air corridor between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan will be activated in the near future and added that his country is ready to cooperate with Afghanistan in various fields.
Mullah Hamidullah Akhundzada also welcomed the cooperation and said that Afghanistan and Kazakhstan have a strong will for development and bilateral cooperation and called the meetings fruitful.
It is worth mentioning that the Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan arrived in Kabul a few days ago to participate in the Kazakh-Afghan Forum and the exhibition of Kazakh products in Kabul. Kazakhstan's deputy prime minister had earlier announced that his country was ready to invest $500 million in the Turghandi-Herat railway project.
